ifilm English TV has scheduled to air Iranian series ‘The Sixth Person’ directed by Bahman Goudarzi from Wednesday.
'The Sixth Person' is set during the late 70s. It deals with the events leading up to the Islamic Revolution as well as the struggles of the revolutionaries who attempt to further their cause and their dealings with the SAVAK, the Shah's dreaded secret police, who will stop at nothing to uncover the whereabouts of members of the revolutionary group.
ifilm has picked the series for the first half of February, concurrent with the Fajr celebrations in Iran, to narrate a story of braveries and gallantries by the revolutionaries who devoted their lives to liberation from cruelty of monarchs.
The flick has been made with a great cast list, including Kamran Tafti, Poulad Kimiaee, Narges Mohammadi, Rahim Norouzi, Elham Charkhandeh, Nader Fallah, Farshid Navvabi, Mohammad-Baqer Seyyedi, Reza Akhlaqi, Touran Qaderi, Zoya Emami, and the late actress Asal Badiee.
Born in 1974, the series director, Goudarzi, has a Master’s degree in Directing from the Islamic Azad University. He entered the film industry as an assistant director on Mehdi Fakhimzadeh’s ‘Travel Companion’ in 1993.
Besides ‘The Sixth Person’ series, Goudarzi has directed movies such as ‘Looking for Happiness’ as well as ‘Six and Five’.
